Dr. Mei is a second-level professor and master supervisor of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Wuhan Textile University, and a doctoral supervisor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan University of Technology, director of Hubei Key Laboratory of Digital Textile Equipment, deputy Director of National Engineering Laboratory of Advanced Spinning, Weaving and Cleaner Production. He is mainly engaged in the technical foundation and application research in the fields of intelligent equipment, digital design and control of mechanical and electrical products, and modern textile equipment. He has won a number of national, provincial and ministerial awards, such as the second prize of 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
