Dr. Chen is a professor, doctoral supervisor, the director of the Composite Materials Center of Donghua University. His research focused on special engineering plastics such as PEEK and PI, special composite materials for aerospace applications, special cables (for aerospace and nuclear industries), and so on. He has won many awards including New World Excellent Talent Support Plan of the Ministry of Education in 2008, Second Level Candidate of the Third Batch of Top Notch Innovative Talents in Jilin Province in 2012, Distinguished Professor of Jilin University in 2014, Mount Taishan Industrial Leading Talent in Shandong Province in 2015, etc.
