Dr. Qing is a professor with the National Recruitment Program of Global Experts in China, and currently serves as the Director of the Aviation Health Management Research Center at Xiamen University and the Director of the Intelligent Sensing and Instrument Collaborative Innovation Center in Fujian Province. Prof. Qing is the recipient of the Innovation Award of Industry-University-Research Cooperation in China (2016), NASA Certificates of Recognition (2011, 2009 and 2007), the Best Paper Awards of EWSHM (2006) and

APWSHM (2018), the National Invention Award of China (1997). He is the inventor of 18 granted U.S. patents and 30 granted Chinese

patents, and published more than 170 research papers. His research interests include Multifunctional Sensor Network, Structural Health Monitoring, Aircraft Health Management, Smart Materials and Structures, Design of Composite Structure.
