Dr. Zhang is a Professor at Wuhan Textile University. He is recognized as a Young and Middle-aged Expert with outstanding contributions in Hubei Province and was the inaugural recipient of the title Hundred Patented Invention Leading Talents in Hubei Province. His primary research focuses on textile materials, particularly functional nonwoven materials and smart textiles. Additionally, Professor Zhang serves as the Vice Chairman of the Nonwoven Materials and Engineering Subcommittee of the Textile Major Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. He is also the Director of the China Textile Engineering Society and a member of the Expert Committee of the Hubei Intelligent Manufacturing Society Consortium. Furthermore, he leads the National First-Class Undergraduate major in Nonwoven Materials and Engineering. He holds more than 70 invention patents in China and has received 8 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards.
