Dr. Yao is a professor at Nanjing University. He graduated from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University in July 2004 and he went to the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of Peking University in the same year for master's and doctoral studies. After his graduation with a Ph.D. in July 2009, he went to the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States for postdoctoral research, and in 2014 he served as a researcher at the Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and in 2018 he worked at the School of Modern Engineering and Applied Sciences of Nanjing University. He has won the National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Young Science Fund, the National Outstanding Young Talents Program, Double Innovation Talents of Jiangsu Province, Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents of Suzhou Industrial Park, and 100 national excellent doctoral dissertations. He has been engaged in the control and preparation of low-dimensional materials and the integration of flexible energy storage devices and has achieved innovative results.
