Dr. Bao is a professor at the Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST), and earned her PhD from SUST in 2008. She currently serves as an assistant dean at the graduate school of SUST. Prof. Bao’s research focuses on the functional organic/inorganic nanocomposites, mainly including functional composite coatings, hollow nanomaterials, wearable sensors, and bio-based hydrogels.

So far, her work has resulted in 56 patents and published 154 papers in peer-reviewed journals, such as Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Colloid. Interface Sci., J. Clean. Prod. and ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces. She has received 25 scientific research awards and led 33 research projects, including 1 from National Key Research and Development Plan of China and 4 from National Natural Science Foundation of China. In recognition of her contributions, she has been selected as the National High-Level Personnel of Special Support Program in 2021, the National Millions of Talent Projects in 2019, the Excellent Young Talent Program of the New Century by the Ministry of Education in 2013, and also awarded as a Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions in 2019.
