Dr. Xu is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and the dean of College of Textile and Clothing at Qingdao University. He is engaged in teaching and research in the fields of textile chemistry, and color science. He serves as the member of the 26th Council of China Textile Engineering Society, and the Vice President of the 5th Council of Shandong Textile and Garment Industry Association. He led 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 100 high-level research papers, and held 42 authorized invention patents. He

obtained two the first prizes of Science and Technology Awards of China National Textile and Apparel Council, one the second prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Award, and two the Gold Prize of Patent Award of China Textile Industry. He has won the first prize of Shandong Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and advised students to won the National Silver Prize in the 8th China International College Students’ ‘Internet+’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. He has also won the Teacher Award of China National Textile and Apparel Council, and been selected as the Mount Taishan Industrial Leading Talents of Shandong.
