Dr. Yan is a professor, a doctoral supervisor of Chongqing University. She serves as a member of the SAC/TC22 International Standardization Working Committee for Metal Cutting Machine Tools in China, a founding member of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Low Carbon Manufacturing Network in the United Kingdom, etc. She is a Young Chang Jiang Scholar. In 2022, she was selected as the leading talent of scientific and technological innovation in machinery industry. In 2020, she was supported by the Chongqing Outstanding Youth Fund. In 2015, she was selected as the Top Young Talent in Chongqing. She has been engaged in the research of manufacturing equipment and intelligence, green manufacturing and clean production, industrial big data and artificial intelligence. She has led more than 20 projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program’s “Key Special Project on Manufacturing Fundamental Technologies and Key Components”, the National Science and Technology Major Project on “High-End CNC Machine Tools and Basic Manufacturing Equipment”, China Manufacturing 2025 Special Project on Intelligent Manufacturing, the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation's General Program, and the Chongqing Outstanding Youth Fund.
