Dr. Chen is a researcher and doctoral supervisor in Zhejiang University. He is a young member of the International Academy of Production Engineering (CIRP) and Hundred Talents Program (Class A) of Zhejiang University. His main research areas include ultra-precision machining and measurement technology equipment, advanced detection technology and control and intelligent precision electromechanical system. He has focused on the important issues in the field of precision manufacturing, such as high precision motion positioning and measurement of large-scale manufacturing equipment in space, online monitoring and splicing manufacturing of cross-scale processing, online measurement of ultra-precision tools and complex machined surfaces. He has published more than 40 papers in international journals. As the main participant, he has won one first prize of the Science and Technology Award of China Machinery Industry and one second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Education.
